VMware Fusion Pro
VMware Fusion Pro works on any Intel 64-bit or Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later.
An emulator lets your Mac behave like a different machine. In the classroom it means one computer can open software written for Windows, play a console classic from the 90s, or run a whole second operating system side by side. The result is less hardware and more flexibility.

This shelf gathers the tools that make that possible. CrossOver translates Windows programs on the fly without a full Windows licence. Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion Pro create a complete virtual PC inside a window. For system administrators, Winclone Pro packages a Boot Camp partition into a single file you can deploy across a lab. Each emulator torrent here works differently, so check the individual page for its macOS and chip requirements.
A game lands here when I can explain the rules in a few sentences and the Thursday club can play it on the iMac without a lecture first. I take one off when I would not open it again myself.
Classroom-friendly is not a sticker I print. It means I would leave the game on the projector while I step into the hall. If I would not, it stays off the front of the shelf.
