Brian Pasternak’s first day at Sintracorp turns into a survival horror adventure. You explore the building floor by floor, ride the elevator into new dangers, and decide how the story ends. Strange coworkers, locked rooms, and a witch tied to the company’s success make every conversation near the water cooler worth your attention.
Hunt the witch at Sintracorp
- Arrive at Sintracorp and learn your new job: hunt the witch.
- Explore each floor by elevator, finding clues and avoiding creatures.
- Talk to coworkers, uncover secrets, and influence the ending.
- Face new bosses and survive the dystopian 1990s office.
Yuppie Psycho Executive Edition runs on Intel Macs with macOS Ventura or later. The game includes English, German, Russian, French, Japanese, and several other languages. The standard installer inside the disk image guides you through setup, and the game starts from the Yuppie_Psycho_EE_START.command file in the game folder.
A weekend playthrough scenario
A teacher I know saved Yuppie Psycho for a three-day weekend. She played through the first floor on Friday evening, learning which coworkers to trust and which doors to leave alone. Saturday morning she reached a new boss fight and spent an hour mapping the dark corridors with her mouse cursor as a light source. By Sunday afternoon she had seen two different endings, then restarted just to hear what happens if you chat up the person by the cooler instead of heading straight to the witch.
That flexibility matters for anyone who wants more than a single path through a game. You can talk, work, or run, and each choice changes what you learn about the people around you.
What the latest update changed
Version 3.0.32a added new areas and new bosses that were not in the original 2019 release. If you already played Yuppie Psycho before, the Executive Edition gives you more reasons to revisit Sintracorp. The new zones fit into the existing floor layout, so you can stumble across them during a normal playthrough without needing a guide.
The update also introduced Steam Workshop mod support in beta. That means players can create and share custom content for the Yuppie Psycho universe. Mod support is still in beta, so expect occasional rough edges, but the option is there for those who want it.
Mouse-controlled light sources and an elevator hub
- Light sources are tied to your mouse movement, so you can sweep the dark parts of a room naturally instead of tapping a button every few seconds.
- The elevator becomes your hub between floors, and each stop has a distinct look that helps you remember where you are without a map.
- Conversations near the cooler are optional, but the game gives you enough time to listen in without rushing the main task.
None of these are flashy, but they add up over a few hours of play. The mouse-light trick in particular makes dark corridors feel less frustrating and more like a deliberate puzzle.
